Dear Parents and Carers,
This week, Bali celebrated Galungan, and we hope that our Hindu community enjoy the festivities surrounded by family and friends. The celebrations conclude Saturday week with Kuningan, which marks the end of the Galungan holidays. The Balinese believe that Kuningan day is the day when their ancestors return to heaven after visiting the earth during Galungan celebrations.
This week has seen an increase in sick students being sent home due to having flu-like symptoms or, in many cases, food poisoning from an event outside of school that students attended. Please ensure that if your child is unwell in the morning, do not send them to school. Students who have flu-like symptoms or a high temperature will be sent home if on campus. Please play your part in protecting our community from illness.
Congratulations to all students who this week completed their semester one assessments. All assessments ran smoothly, and I look forward to reading through all of your reports later in the term. I have had many parents enquire about NAPLAN results. The NAPLAN papers have been sent to Australia for marking and processing. We will receive our students' results towards the end of Term Three. Results are individually sealed and will be able for parents to pick up from the office. We will let you know once the results have arrived in Bali.
This week our Bali Bytes contributions are from the High School. I hope you enjoy looking through the great work that our High School students are completing.
Enjoy the Bytes!
