PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to this week's Bali Bytes. It has been another busy week at AIS, and it has been great seeing all of our students settling back into their daily routines. The level of learning that has been taking place is always exciting to see, and I would like to congratulate all of our students on their efforts over the past week.

Last week,  the Minister of Education and Research and Technology, Pak  Nadiem Makarim, announced the conditions (https://news.detik.com/berita/d-6207695/nadiem-setop-sementara-belajar-tatap-muka-bila-ada-covid-19-di-sekolah) for when schools may have to temporarily stop face to face learning. This is something we do not want to happen, so it is very important that we maintain our COVID safe and health protocols to ensure that we keep our community safe.

Please make sure you do not send your child to school when they have flu-like symptoms. If a member of your family has COVID, please let us know as we need to keep track of what is happening throughout the community. Children in close contact with family members with COVID should not be attending school. Any student who has had COVID is not allowed back on campus unless they have given us a negative PCR result or two negative Rapid Antigen Test results over two consecutive days.

Please make sure you play your part in keeping our community safe and our school open.

This week the Bali Bytes has a Primary focus on what has been taking place in our classes. Next week the bytes will have a High School focus.

The majority of our students in Years 3 - 6 are off campus from Wednesday morning as they will be attending the annual school camp, and we look forward to hearing about the adventures that take place during the camp in future bytes. We are presently finalising the camps for our Year 7 - 11 students, which will take place at the end of this term. Our Junior Primary students will not be attending a sleep-over camp, but we are organising a ‘Stop Over’ event that will be held on campus on Thursday, 22 September.

Enjoy the bytes!
