Dear Parents and Carers,
This week has been another busy week at AIS Bali, with the majority of our students completing the end-of-year assessments and exams. I would like to congratulate all our students on their efforts this week.
Yesterday I attended the Bali Heads of School meeting, and it was disturbing to hear that Phone Scams are back on the scene. These scams normally take the form of a phone call to a parent, informing them that the caller works at their child’s school and that they have been in an accident and have been taken to the hospital. The caller will then have a ‘doctor’ confirm this and request that an amount of money is transferred to a bank account.
If you receive such a call, it would be a scam. AIS would never ring you and request money be put into a bank account, like in this scenario. When we ring, we also always identify ourselves. Please take note of the scam and be aware of how these scammers operate. They play on emotions; always keep this in mind.
We are fast approaching the end of our school year. Not long now before we all have a well-deserved break. We are continuing to receive enrolments and this week have more students and their families to welcome into our community.
Enjoy the bytes!
