Australian Independent School (AIS) puts the health and wellbeing of the students, staff, and the school community as a top priority. Our nurse can provide medical care from 7.00 am to 4.00 pm.
The school nurse and staff are equipped to administer first aid and provide health advice on campus as needed. In the event of emergency, parents will be contacted to collect their children from school if thought advisable. Students requiring medical care for injuries or sickness should report to the medical facilities where their condition will be assessed, and they will receive appropriate care.
Any special health care (precautions, allergies, etc.) and any infection or disability (asthma, diabetes, heart condition, anaphylaxis, etc.) should be notified to the school nurse and class teacher as soon as it is diagnosed.
Please note that students who become sick during school hours cannot travel home on the school bus service. In the event that parents or emergency contacts cannot be reached, the child may be taken to the nearest hospital for medical treatment at the discretion of the School Principal.
