Year 12 IB Diploma & School Based Exams Finished

Our Year 12 students will finish their final school exams today. It has been great to see how confidently they have approached their exams and supportive they were of each other. A special thank you must go to our IB Diploma Coordinator, Mr Dave Brundage who has organised the exams and to all of our teacher invigilators who supervised the students during their exams.

Year 12 Graduation

Next Friday, 21st November we will celebrate our Year 12 students' end of school with their Graduation Ceremony which will be held at AYANA Midplaza Hotel. This night will be a chance for our Year 12 students to celebrate the end of high school with their friends, classmates, teachers and families.

High School Arts Night

Tuesday night’s High School Arts Night was a huge success with our very talented High School Artists, Musicians & Film Makers showcasing their work from the year. Thank you to Mr Tal, Mr Anand, Mr Rob, Ibu Aldevi, Ibu Michelle and Ibu Puji.

Our teachers have clearly done a tremendous job with their students. The confidence with which they performed—whether on stage or on film—and the quality of their art and media work showed that they are deeply engaged in their learning and proud of their achievements. I noticed several students performing who, a year or two ago, would not have had that same level of confidence—further testament to the wonderful work we are doing at AIS to build them up.

Parent & Student Thank You Morning Tea

AIS would like to invite parents and students who have supported the school throughout the year to a Thank You Morning Tea at 8:30am on Monday 8th December. This is a chance for us to thank parents who have supported us by leading or supporting our PnF, helping out at school events, and leading workshops in the classrooms for our students. We will also have our Student Ambassadors join to thank them for their support of the school throughout the year.

If you would like to attend, please complete the form linked below so we can plan catering accordingly. Parent & Student Thank You Morning Tea

Mother Tongue Book Drive

Our Teacher Librarian, Ms Lorraine, and Librarian, Mr Fakri, have worked tirelessly over the past two years to update and refresh our library collection. This has included removing old or damaged titles and ordering a wide range of new books from Australia, many of which have been shortlisted by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.

We have also been steadily expanding our Mother Tongue Language Collection, which currently includes books from Korea, Germany, China, Japan, India, France and Spain.

As many families will be travelling over the Christmas/Summer holidays, we invite you to consider purchasing books from your home country to donate to our Mother Tongue section. Families travelling to English-speaking countries are also welcome to purchase books to donate to the AIS Library when you return in January. We are also happy to accept any second hand books from your home that are still in good condition.

All donated books will include a library plate inside the front cover acknowledging the students who donated them.

AIS Parent Survey

Thank you to the parents who have completed the AIS Parent Survey. If you haven't yet completed the survey, please follow this link. It will remain open until Friday 28 November.
